In practice, all Default Folder X does for those is add a button that expands them out. What I suggest is moving the place where settings are saved to a different place, like either the folder of the program in ProgramFiles or to a folder in AppData like a lot of software this days does. In its latest version, Default Folder X 5.1.5 handles those minimized Save dialogs that Apple is so fond of. This essentially makes moving the ShareX personal folder useless, because you have to keep the original one to store your settings. The old folder stores the shareX settings, so when you restart your computer or the program, ShareX essentially ignores any settings in your custom directory folder and looks at the default location and creates a new folder. The problem is that once you changed the directory of your folder, you will go and delete the old one. Restart the program and voila, you have your folder in a different directory. When launching File Explorer in Windows Server 2012 / 2012 R2 or in Windows 8 / 8.1 the default folder was This PC. This view includes your Frequent folders and Recent files. So In order to have your personal folder in a different folder, you go to your settings -> path and set to your custom directory. By default when you launch File Explorer (Figure 1) from the task bar or from the start menu (Figure 2), it will open in the Quick Access (Figure 3) view. ![]()
